1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

 

(Oh but I do love a good bargain like Knit Picks or some of the stuff off of ebay)

2. Do you spin? Crochet? Uh no... crocheting and I don't get along.. and spinning just boggles my mind.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.) I'm a walking allergy. I am allergic to smoke, pollen, dander, etc, but doesnt stop me from having two beagles.

4. How long have you been knitting? Ummm ALMOST 6 months... almost

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? Yes I do! Amazon anyway

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.) I don't have a favorite scent. I have a favorite kind of scent. I love vanilla, citrus, berries, etc, anything that smells warm and inviting. I really hate anything that tries too hard.
 
7. Do you have a sweet tooth? Yeah, that would be an understatement. I love sugar. Pixie stix and I go way back. I'm just discovering really good chocolate.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Sorta. I love to dabble in things. I love "camp crafts", things like sand art, friendship bracelets, etc. I'll try anything once.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I love all sorts of music. I've been on a world music kick lately. I really like Irish, African, Hawaiian, etc music. I also like Classical music. But more often than not you'll find me listening to good old rock and roll. I have a soft spot for 80's and early 90's music too. Oh and hair bands.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? I love blue. All blues really. I like darker blues and navy especially. But turquoise is also beautiful. I'm starting to like warmer colors as well, reds and oranges. I have a disdain for pink.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? Living with my hubby or 3 years, Jeff and our two beagles, Copper and Josie.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know) Life dreams? Hmmm. I want to have kids. healthy kids. Want to get my master's degree. Want to travel some more, to Ireland, Poland, Africa and New Zealand. Really want to retire in Australia. Mostly just want to be happy and sane with my hubby.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? I don't think I have a preference yet, since I've just started. I really like Cascade 220. Loved working with silk alpaca. That was divine!

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like? I really don't like 100% microfiber or acrylic.

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s? Just learning anything new. I'm getting addicted to collecting patterns, especially free ones. Oh and beaded stitch markers....

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? I really do like making blankets. And bags. Really want to try socks soon.

17. What are you knitting right now? To be honest I have 3 open projects. A shawl for me that is in time out because I hate above said microfiber, a scarf and a french market bag.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? circs. By far.

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? aluminum. No contest.

21. Are you a sock knitter? I want to be!

22. How did you learn to knit? I wanted to make a baby blanket for Roarke (friend's baby) I can't crochet. So I begged my friend Amy to teach me while we were on a 2 week cruise through the Panama Canal. Once home and lost, Christy and Val have helped me along. And god bless knittinghelp.com

23. How old is your oldest UFO? The microfiber shawl is about 2 months I guess. Not even

24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird? Let's be honest. Jeff and I are Disney nuts. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Copper beagle is named after the hound in the Fox and the Hound. Josie was already named when we got her or she would have been named  Dodger from Oliver and Company. Jeff is the Tigger and I'm the Eeyore. We both also love Stitch!

25. What is your favorite holiday? By far Christmas. It has to do with my birthday being a week before Christmas.

26. Is there anything that you collect? Shoes! Books!

27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? None right now, but IK and VK will be on my wish list.

28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on? Noro Knits by Jane Ellison... and once the newest edition of the Princess Diaries and Gossip Girl come out.

29. Any patterns you have been coveting, but haven't bought for one reason or another?? I really love Fiesta yarns, but not the price, so I've held off buying the Famous Shawl pattern by them
