I like wools and wool blends. Cotton is ok, it has to be I live in Florida. I found out I'm allergic to acrylic. What a shame  . So I have to stay away from it. I guess my favorite yarn I have knit with so far has been Noro Iro. But at $20 a skein I'll be using it infrequently.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

 I have a needle wrap that I hate, I use a vase for my straights and right now have my circs everywhere. I'm trying to bribe hubby into making me a circ holder.

3. How long have you been knitting? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I'm celebrating my one year knitting anniversary this month. I'd say I'm an advanced beginner.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? I do have an Amazon Wish list here.

5. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)

My favorite perfume is 24 Faubourg, which is a combination of orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla, amber, white iris, ylang ylang, tiara flower and sandalwood. So in other words I like warm lightly floral smells.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

Sweet tooth might be an understatement. I love dark chocolate and truffles. I also like pixie sticks and fun dip (cherry only). One day I'll have to grow up I guess.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin? I don't really do much else, no time. But I do like to try new crafts and will try anything at least once.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD) I really do like most music. I seem to favor rock and classical. Throw in some opera and I'm set. I have an Ipod and listen to mp3's on my PC.

9. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? I'm not a big fan of pink. It has it's place but I'm just not a fan. I seem to favor spring summer colors, blues, yellows, reds, and such. Nothing too pastel, but nothing dark either.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? I live with my very fiber tolerant hubby and two not so fiber tolerant beagles, Copper and Josie.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

No to all of the above since I live in Florida. I do wear a pair of knitted fingerless gloves for when I knit for any length of time. I need to make a new pair actually.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? I like making bags. I'm starting to like socks again, but the small needles drive me nuts.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift? Yes to both thankfully

17. How did you learn to knit? I wanted to make a baby blanket for a friend and I hate crocheting. So a friend taught me to knit. And through various other friends I actually caught on and think I'm doing ok.

18. How old is your oldest UFO? A year old. Well almost. It involved acrylic yarn and straight plastic needles. Not going back.

19. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas. And St Paddy's day since that's our anniversary.

20. Is there anything that you collect? Not really. I love old photos and have started collecting them, especially war era stuff. I always like old nursing stuff too. It's neat to see how things have changed.

21. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have? Jeff got me Creative Knitting for Christmas, I still want to get Interweave Knits, VK sucks. I really want to try that Austermann yarn that has oils and lotion built into the yarn. A friend of mine at works loves it. I'm hankering to try a pair of rosewood needles, but don't want to fork over the money. I'm happy with my Addi Turbos and Denise needles.

22. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn? I still haven't tried cables. And want to try fair aisle. As my backlog of projects subsides I should be able to start trying stuff.

23. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements? I do knit socks, but haven't made a pair for me yet so I don't know my measurements. I do have a wide size 8.5 foot though.
